Our history

The first Spencerhill Community website was launched in September 1999. At that time no one could have imagined what it would become. The site quickly became very popular and page hits grew rapidly. The success of the site led to the organization in 2001 of the first fan gathering. Since then, a festival has been organized every year as the community has continued to grow.

Years passed and the gathering grew in numbers up to and including content until the event was renamed the Spencerhill Festival and the web page became a Facebook page with thousands and thousands of followers. Friendships are also born. Collaborations and partner web pages such as the Spencer/Hill database.

In late 2019, a first exhibition on Bud Spencer was organized by the Pedersoli family in Naples. The great commitment of the fan community meant that the temporary exhibition in Naples became a permanent exhibition in 2021 under the name Bud Spencer Museum, which in 2024 was revamped to include Terence Hill and become the Spencerhill World in Berlin.

In 2023 the Spencerhill Festival, spurred also by the success of the Bud Spencer Museum, took the big leap, becoming international, and was held for the first time in Italy, in the enchanting town of Gubbio, achieving great success with audiences and critics.

But the first Italian edition was to have a sequel!

The organizers worked hard for eight months and succeeded. Not only will there be a next Spencerhill Festival of Italy, but in March 2024 it was clear that the Italian Spencerhill Festival, in its new home, the city of Ferrara, could be free and open to all. The organizers' dream will finally come true! In Ferrara, the Spencerhill will be huge, spread throughout the city, involving the most striking places in the historic center but, most importantly, it will be free and accessible to all. This will be possible to local and national private and public supporters, to the support of many fans from all over the world and, of course, to the Bulldozers!

Become one of the ambassadors to the world of this great family yourself and you can be part of the first big, completely free party in honor of our idols, scheduled to take place in the city of Ferrara in June 2025. Terence Hill himself is Patron of the big event and invites everyone to the big party immersed in the architectural wonders of the Este City.
